New Zealand vs Pakistan: Kiwis remain consistent; Netherlands pull off stunner for Pakistan
Rather than Group 1, Group 2 couldn’t confirm the top two until the last day of the group-stage schedule. Talking about New Zealand, the side won three out of their five group-stage games, with one being abandoned. They only lost against England and finished at the top, without creating any confusion regarding the qualification.
Pakistan, on the other hand, were almost knocked out due to their back-to-back defeats against India and Zimbabwe. The Netherlands rescued them as the Dutch team attained a victory against South Africa and Pakistan finished the group-stage schedule as the number two team in Group 2.
