Lungi Ngidi cruised past the batting line-up of Kings XI Punjab and helped Chennai Super Kings restrict them to 153.
Young pacer brought his best performance against KXIP in IPL 2018 match in Pune on Sunday and said that he is really enjoying the experience in the IPL.
Ngidi bowled a spell of 4-1-10-4 in his four overs to help Chennai Super Kings win the game by five wickets.
“It was the last thing I expected, I never thought that I would get picked up in the auction,” said Ngidi.
“But the way MS Dhoni and the coaching staff have supported me has been really amazing. It is an eye-opening experience here for me. I have never played in front of such crowds. It has been very good for me and I am looking forward to learning even more,” he added.
He also praised the wicket at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune, where the second-placed CSK dominated the game.
CSK take on SRH on Tuesday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
