Nepal Premier League 2024 Squads ft. Shikhar Dhawan

The Cricket Association of Nepal is set to make history with the inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), scheduled from 30 November to 21 December 2024.

This franchise-based T20 cricket league features eight competitive teams—Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur Bolts, Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers, Sudurpaschim Royals, and Chitwan Rhinos—competing in 32 matches over three weeks.

All games will take place at the iconic Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal, promising an exciting blend of local and international cricketing talent.

The NPL adopts a unique team-building approach with 16-member squads comprising marquee players, auctioned local talent, and foreign stars, including one player from an associate nation.

Notable names such as Shikhar Dhawan, Martin Guptill, and James Neesham headline the foreign roster, while local players like Anil Kumar Sah, the highest bid at NRs 1.5 million, add to the intrigue.
