Indian captain Virat Kohli produced yet another stunning hundred to steer India home against Australia in the second ODI. And after the win, the Indian batsman revealed that the century exhausted him completely and at the same time he praised MS Dhoni.

During his stay of 149 minutes at the crease, the Indian captain scored five fours and two sixes which meant 72 of his runs came from running singles and doubles. And Kohli did this after fielding for 50 overs earlier in the day.
After the match, Kohli said that it was a really tough day. He stated that his pants are white with the sweat, the salts coming out.

The Indian captain explained that MS was tired as well, fielding for 50 overs and batting as well, it was tough. So he believes it is a good day to rest and travel and recover and regroup for the MCG.
Wanted to recognize the moment to strike: Kohli
Kohli was batting with caution until Dhoni walked at the crease. At that point, he changed his gears and scored a few boundaries including a six. He spoke about that phase when he accelerated from nowhere.

He noted that you look for little moments to pump you up, get into the zone, and that’s what he was trying to do. He revealed that he tried to stay as aware as possible in recognizing the moment to strike.
He thought those 2-3 overs were the moment, to bring the gap between runs and balls down. He also feels that when it comes off it looks good.
Kohli full of praise for Dhoni
At the same time, Kohli praised Dhoni. He stated that there’s no doubt that Dhoni should be a part of this team.
