MUL vs LAH: In a big breaking news, Lahore Qalandars star leg-spinner Rashid Khan will not be returning to play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 final against Multan Sultans on 27 February at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Lahore Qalandars qualified for the PSL 2022 finals on the back of an amazing 6-run victory over Islamabad United in the Eliminator 2 encounter. In a thrilling finish, David Wiese contributed with a sensational all-round performance to take the Lahore Qalandars home.
MUL vs LAH: Rashid Khan to miss PSL 2022 Final?
While going against the earlier reports doing the rounds, Rashid Khan has now confirmed that he will not be available to make it for the Pakistan Super League T20 finals due to national duty. The Afghanistan leg-spinner had earlier left the tournament midway due to his participation in the ongoing ODI series in Bangladesh. Afghanistan is supposed to meet Bangladesh in the third and final ODI match on 28 February at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

While representing the Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing edition of the tournament, Rashid Khan has picked up as many as 13 wickets from 9 matches at a brilliant economy of less than 7.

Pakistan Super League T20: David Wiese’s all-round performance helps Lahore Qalandars reach PSL Final
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Lahore Qalandars posted a challenging total of 168 for 7 on the scoreboard as Abdullah Shafique scored a fine half-century. Towards the later part of their innings, David Wiese smashed an amazing unbeaten cameo of 28 runs off only 8 balls that included 3 sixes and 1 four.
In reply, the Islamabad United side got bowled out for 162 runs in 19.4 overs. Many of the Islamabad United batsmen got some valuable starts but eventually they failed to convert them into big scores. Wiese held his nerves remarkably well while successfully defending 8 runs in the final over of the game.
