The CSK team scored a good total of 220 on the board with the contribution from Faf Du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Then, the spell of Deepak Chahar destroyed KKR in the powerplay overs. He took 4 wickets in the powerplay overs to keep KKR spellbound by his bowling. The most important wicket he took was of Nitish Rana who has given good starts to the KKR team in the IPL 2021. While playing a flick shot, he gave a catch at a short fine-leg position. Then, Dhoni ran around 25-30 yards from his wicket-keeping position to take a catch.
