Just after MS Dhoni fans were unhappy with the BCCI decision to drop him from the contracted player’s list, they seem to have got some positive news. The Indian cricket team’s most successful captain is back with his training gears on as he trained in JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

His return and his future with team India had been the most debated topic ever since it was revealed that he will be taking a two-month sabbatical post the World Cup 2019.
Even after his break got over he was not included for Twenty20 International (T20I) series against South Africa and Bangladesh which raised further questions regarding his retirement. However, a recent video which is trending on social media, shows the 38-year-old former India skipper facing net bowlers at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

What I am hearing is @msdhoni has started training with the Ranji team in Ranchi from 14 Jan and has got a new bowling machine to train. So def not retiring. Come back or not that’s a diff matter. More imp is will be play domestic cricket! That’s the key to his future.

Pleasant Surprise
“Even we did not know that he was going to come and train with us. It was a pleasant surprise. He batted for a while and did the usual training routine,” Jharkhand team management was quoted.
“We are expecting him to train with the team regularly from now on. His presence can only help the players,” the source added.
Mahi has resumed his training with jharkand for Ranji trophy in Ranchi and has also got a new balling machine.

He brought a brand new bowling machine for his training. While the Jharkhand team was practicing with the red ball, Dhoni was seen practicing against the white ball. Jharkhand is set to face Uttarakhand on Sunday in Ranchi
Selectors back Dhoni’s decision
India’s chief selector MSK Prasad had said earlier that they are “moving on” and will be grooming Rishabh Pant as the first-choice wicket-keeper with an eye on the future. This statement was made by him after Dhoni’s sabbatical term ended.
Prasad even said that Dhoni is on board with their decision of backing young wicketkeeper-batsman Pant.
Even the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had acknowledged Dhoni’s contribution to Indian cricket after being elected to the post. Ganguly even said that “champions don’t finish very quickly”. It was under Ganguly’s leadership that MS Dhoni made his debut.
