MS DHONI Donation: CSK Captain’s Contribution Towards COVID 19 Relief Work Revealed

MS Dhoni donation: IPL teams and the players are opening their wallets to help India in its fight against the current Covid 19 pandemic. From superstars Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, to name a few, to players such as Hanuma Vihari, our own cricketers are doing everything in their capacity to help the general public against the virus that has brought the whole nation to its knees. As per the latest developments, fan-favourite Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to contribute towards the cause, but in a unique way.

MS Dhoni co-owned ISL team Chennaiyin FC has joined hands with Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) to raise awareness about COVID-19 related information, protocol and updates for the city amongst the general public through its digital platforms.
With their joint efforts, Chennaiyin FC and GCC will amplify the governing body’s COVID-19 related issues in order to widen the reach. Chennaiyin FC is also co-owned by Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and entrepreneur Vita Dani.

As part of the partnership, and subsequent outreach, CFC will amplify all of the GCC's verified COVID-related updates, so that it reaches as many citizens as possible through the digital medium.

Earlier, MS DHoni’s IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK), also came forward to help the government and the people against Covid-19. The three-time IPL champions announced that they will be donating 450 oxygen concentrators to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, MK Stalin.

Cricketers Covid-19 Donations
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have donated INR 2 crores towards a fund-raising project called Ketto. Kohli also revealed that he aims to raise Rs. 7 crores for the relief work in the country.
How Much SRH Donated For Covid 19 Relief?
Sachin Tendulkar announced a contribution of INR 1 Crore to ‘Mission Oxygen’ to help arrange oxygen concentrators for COVID-19 patients in the country.
Shikhar Dhawan will be donating INR 20 lakhs and all the earnings from post-match awards in IPL 2021 to fight against the virus.
IPL franchises Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals also announced the help of INR 1.5 crore and $ 1 Million respectively.
Foreign cricketers are also coming forward to help India in this crisis. KKR player Pat Cummins donated USD 50,000 towards the ‘PM Cares’ Fund.
Brett Lee announced he will be donating 1 Bitcoin (worth around INR 41 lakh) to the Crypto Relief that will help in purchasing oxygen supplies for the hospitals across India.
