1. Harshal Patel
Royal Challengers Banglore pacer Harshal Patel tops the list of Most wickets in IPL season. The right-arm pacer was at his best during the IPL 2021 and took a total of 32 wickets in the season. He achieved that feat in 15 games at an impressive strike rate of 10.56. His record of 32 wickets in the season is the joint-highest in a single IPL season. His tally of 32 wickets also included a five-for, a four-for and a hat-trick.
2. Dwayne Bravo
Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo stands second on the list of Most wickets in IPL seasons. The Caribbean all-rounder took as many as 32 wickets in the IPL 2013. His ability to outfox batsmen with the slower ball was one of his highlight during that season. He held the record for seven long years till it was equalled by Harshal Patel in 2021. Bravo took 32 wickets in 18 matches to go with four-fer in the final against MI.
3. Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada’s name in the list of Most wickets in IPL season might not be surprising. The South African pacer was at his rampaging best in the IPL 2020, where he took 30 wickets for Delhi Capitals. He achieved the feat in 17 matches and took wickets at an average of 18.27. He formed a formidable partnership with Anrich Nortje and helped Delhi Capitals reach final of the tournament.
4. Lasith Malinga
Leading wicket-taker in the history of IPL, Lasith Malinga stands fourth on the list of Most wickets in IPL. The former Sri Lankan paver scalped 28 wickets in the IPL 2011 and helped his side reach the playoffs. He also was the proud owner of purple cap. At that time he created the record for most number of wickets in IPL season until it was broken by Dwayne Bravo in 2013.
5. James Faulkner
Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Australian all-rounder had a breakout season with the ball during IPL 2013. He took 28 wickets. He played a crucial role for his side and ended as the second highest wicket taker during that season. His tally of 28 wickets included two five-wickets haul as well. Overall in 60 matches, he has 59 wickets at an average of 30.13.
