Yuzvendra Chahal IPL 2022: Since being dropped from the India’s 2021 T20 World Cup squad, right-arm leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has bowled remarkably well both in international cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). During the IPL 2021 season, Chahal ended up taking as many as 18 wickets from 15 matches at a brilliant economy of less than 8. While playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), he has been in a top notch form in the ongoing edition of the IPL.

After getting picked by the Rajasthan Royals at a steal deal of INR 6.5 Crore, Yuzvendra Chahal has looked in an outstanding touch with the ball in this 15 edition of the Indian Premier League. In the last match against Lucknow Super Giants, Chahal completed a total of 150 wickets in the IPL history from just 118 games. He scalped excellent match-winning figures of 4 for 41 to help RR register their third win of the season and claim the top position on the points table. The right-arm leggie is also currently the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2022 with as many as 11 wickets from 4 games at an average of 9.45.

Yuzvendra Chahal has now become the sixth bowler in the history of the IPL to take a total of 150 wickets and the second fastest to reach the landmark after Lasith Malinga. He is also only the fourth spinner to pick up 150 wickets in IPL alongside Amit Mishra (166), Piyush Chawla (157) and Harbhajan Singh (150).
