Whether it may be Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli they have made their mark on the international stage. When it comes to the T20I format, they have excelled in multiple roles.

While Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are competing to be the highest run-scorer in the T20 format, Shikhar Dhawan and Suryakumar Yadav have also showed their class whenever required. They all have been consistent performers for Team India several years and showed why they are best in the business when it comes to their tally of runs in the T20 format.
1. Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan had a monumental 2018 as he made headlines for his stellar performances in the limited-overs format. Particularity, in the T20 format Dhawan was scoring runs left, right and center as he bagged 689 runs in 18 matches. Although he failed to score a century during the calendar year, he still managed to score six fifties.
2. Virat Kohli
The 2016 will go down as the ‘Virat Kohli Year’, not only did he score 973 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he also scored 641 runs in the T20I from 15 matches. Virat was unlucky not to have led Team India to the T20 World Cup glory as India lost in the semifinals. With seven fifties and an incredible strike rate of 140.26, Virat was one to watch out for in 2016.
3. Rohit Sharma
Shikhar Dhawan’s partner in crime in 2018, Rohit Sharma too was enjoying the form of his life. In 19 matches he bagged 590 runs with a highest score of unbeaten 111 against West Indies in Lucknow. He amassed a total of two hundreds and three fifties.
Rohit also amassed 497 runs in 2016 while Virat was running the show. He amassed that total of runs in 18 matches and scored four fifties at an average of 29.23
4. Suryakumar Yadav
Considered by many as the modern-time great in the T20 format Suryakumar Yadav has made light work of the opposition bowlers when he is at his best. So far in 2022, he has scored 527 runs and has number of games still remaining in the calendar year. Nicknamed ‘Sky’ by his teammates, he is already reaching sky-heights having scored three fifties and a hundred with a best score of 117 against England in Nottingham.
