Most successful team in IPL – It’s been almost 15 years since the inception of the IPL which has been nothing but a global brand. The richest T20 league in the world is likely to see a huge bid for its global media rights for the upcoming cycle which is estimated to be close to 40000 crores. This off-field success of the IPL isn’t possible without the entertainment and the on-field success of the teams. The most successful among them are the Mukesh Ambani owned Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians are the most successful team in IPL on most aspects. They’ve won the highest number of IPL titles (5) despite being trophy-less in the first five seasons. They’ve also registered the most number of wins in IPL history and are currently valued at 1.3 billion dollars which is the highest for an individual franchise in cricket leagues all around the globe.

Mumbai Indians also dominate the head-to-head record against CSK with them winning 6 more matches than CSK.

Both Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have endured a pretty bad IPL 2022 season this year and both teams are on a rebuilding phase which presents a good opportunity for other teams to catch up with them in terms of title wins. But only KKR are the closest contenders with two title wins and with them also most likely to not qualify for the playoffs this season, the argument for the most successful IPL team will revolve around MI and CSK for some years to come.
