Indian pace bowler Mohammad Shami has revealed his preparations for the Australia series. He said that the Indian team is watching videos of their opponents and are focusing as much as they can.
Shami reckons Australia are very strong opponents
The right-arm pacer was speaking with the media at Kolkata. He noted that as a fast bowling unit, they did well in England and are now preparing for the Australia series and are watching a lot of videos.
He explained that the team’s plan is to focus on the series as much as possible as the opponents are very strong. He also noted that they will work on getting the line and length right.
Winning depends on luck: Shami
The Indian cricketer said that they will always try to do their best but he made it clear that winning or losing also depends on luck and they will give their 100 percent.
When asked about the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner, the pace bowler admitted that if those two don’t play, then Australia will obviously be weakened. But he feels that in the end, they have to stick to their plan and work on their strengths.
World cup too far away: Shami
When asked about India’s bowling combination for the 2019 world cup, Shami made it clear that it depends on who is fit and who is not during that time. He noted that his performance will be evaluated and he will expect to get a chance if he does well.
