England have never got off to a solid start in this 3 match series even for once while batting, thanks to their opener Jason Roy who has been in pathetic form to say the least. Australian spearhead and the reputed white ball bowler in the world in Mitchell Starc has destroyed the England opener Jason Roy’s dream to end the summer on a high by dismissing him for a 1st ball duck.

The ball was there to be put away for Jason Roy as the ball had width and it was a rank half-volley but such is the luck of Jason Roy that found the outside edge of the bat that carried to Glenn Maxwell at backward point to gift his wicket away

It was a classic Mitchell Starc delivery that got rid off Joe Root. The ball was fast, pitched up and swung in late to catch Joe Root plumb in front of the wicket. The England captain Eoin Morgan safely negotiated the hat-trick ball and denied Mitchell Starc his hat-trick in the 3rd ball of the game.

No Steve Smith for the decider

The former Australian captain Steve Smith who missed the first game after having sustained a blow in the head prior to the game has now missed the entire series as Cricket Australia doesn’t want to risk their top player.
