The big breaking news update coming from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp is that they have dropped their premier left-arm pacer T Natarajan for their 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) against the Mumbai Indians (MI) being hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In their previous match of the T20 competition, the Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a crushing 8-wicket defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. As their dismal IPL 2023 campaign nears its end, SRH will undoubtedly be determined to conclude it with a victory.
MI vs SRH: Why is T Natarajan Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the SRH skipper Aiden Markram noted that T Natarajan misses out for today’s MI vs SRH match. Incidentally, he is not even part of the five substitute members out of which one can be used as an Impact Player at any moment in the match. However, Natarajan has not been consistent with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2023 season having picked up a total of 10 wickets from 12 matches at an economy rate of over 9. While coming as the Impact Player in the previous match against RCB, the left-arm pacer ended with figures of 1 for 34.
“We would want to finish strong. Another oppurtunity for the squad and a few of the players. There are a couple of changes. Exciting changes for us. Can’t remember most of them. High scoring venue. It should be a great time for the batters as we have nothing to lose,” said Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram during the toss.
