After having lost the toss and being asked to bat first, the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram stated that Abhishek Sharma is not part of the SRH playing XI for this MI vs SRH match on Sunday. Interestingly, he is not even included in the substitute members list out of which one can come in as an Impact Player at any moment in the game. Abhishek has had mixed performances with the bat so far in the Indian Premier League 2023 season having scored 226 runs from 11 matches at an impressive strike-rate of over 140 that includes a couple of fifties as well. However, the SRH team management has decided to give opportunity to Vivrant Sharma in their last league match.

“We would want to finish strong. Another oppurtunity for the squad and a few of the players. There are a couple of changes. Exciting changes for us. Can’t remember most of them. High scoring venue.
