Rajasthan Royals will be up against an opposition against whom they have quite a rich history. Though Mumbai Indians lead the head to head record, both the teams have spoiled each other’s party on various occasions in the past. Rajasthan Royals absolutely thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad in their tournament opener. They would be looking to carry that momentum into this game against 5 time champions Mumbai Indians.
MI vs RR: RR face no availability issues
Rajasthan Royals played with their best possible 11 in the first game and the same is expected for this game as well. They have all their players intact in their squad, they are one of the very few teams who have all of their overseas players available from the word go. Though their batting ends at #6 which is quite bizarre for the modern say T20 standards, they do have match winners and explosive fearless young players in their top 6 who can win the games on their own.
The brand of their cricket against SRH was an example of how fearless they are going to be in this season. But coming up against Mumbai Indians who have the best death bowling pair in the competition will not be an easy task. They would again want an explosive innings from one of their top 3 to stand a chance to win against the mighty Mumbai Indians.
Highest Paid Player in IPL 2022
RR probable playing 11
- Jos Buttler
- Yashaswi Jasiwal
- Sanju Samson
- Devdutt Padikkal
- Shimron Hetmyer
- Riyan Parag
- Nathan Coulter-Nile
- Ravichandran Ashwin
- Trent Boult

- Yuzvendra Chahal
Sanju Samson promoted himself up the order in the previous game to maintain the momentum and it made sense but the most interesting thing was how Devdutt Padikkal played at #4. He is a natural opener but he did a very decent job at #4 but it will be a difficult task against a strong Mumbai Indians. One has to wait and see the performances of Devdutt Padikkal as a middle order batsman at the IPL level.
