Who won today’s IPL match?: Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) went neck to neck in the game 26th of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Things yet against didn’t go in Mumbai’s favour as they suffered their sixth straight loss of the the IPL 2022. LSG on the other hand registered their 4th win of the season. They held their nerves better thumped MI by 19 runs.

The decision to put Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to bat didn’t work for Mumbai Indians. As KL Rahul played one hell of an innings and made mockery of MI bowlers. In what was his 100th IPL game, the LSG skipper smashed a sensational century to take his side to the mammoth total of 199 runs. The right-hander got the desired support of Quinton de Kock (24), Manish Pandey (38) that helped their side end the first innings on high. For five-time champions, Jaydev Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers and returned with the figures of 2/32.

Chasing the target, MI had a horrendous start as they first lost skipper Rohit Sharma for just 6 runs. Dewald Brevis then yet again played a sensational knock of 31 runs in just 13 balls but fell during the fag end of power play. Ishan Kishan (13) perished soon after that as MI found themselves tumbling at 57/3. Suryakumar Yadav (37) Â and Tilak Varma (26) then stood tall for their side and steadied the ship but fell after a healthy partnership. Kieron Pollard and Jaydev Unadkat raised the hopes of MI fans with their brilliant display of power-hitting. With 26 runs needed off the last over, Chameera held his nerve and bowled brilliantly under pressure to make his team win the match by 19 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul was awarded Player of the Match in today’s encounter against Mumbai Indians (MI). Opening the batting, the keeper-batter looked a class apart today. After being watchful initially, he unleashed himself and paved his way through his third century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He scored unbeaten 103 runs in just 60 balls, which helped his side win the match. Rahul’s knock included 9 fours and 5 sixes.
