MI Playing 11: Mumbai Indians have almost reached a stage where there is point of no return. In a 10 team competition, even 8 wins might not guarantee a playoff spot. MI need to win another 8 games minimum in their next 9 games if not 9 from 9 which is literally impossible to do so. Rohit Sharma’s questionable captaincy on the field has been pretty odd, one does not expect that from the five time IPL winning captain.
MI vs LSG: Will MI use four overseas players in XI?
The likes of Fabian Allen and Riley Meredith are yet to play a game in this season inspite of MI have such a poor bowling attack and non existent batting depth. It is bizarre that they dropped Tim David after just 2 games into the season after having bought him for a whopping amount of 8.25 crores.
They can easily drop either of Jaydev Unadkat or Basil Thampi and play Fabian Allen who brings that variety to their spin attack along with being a solid six hitting option lower down the order. Mumbai Indians need to think about their game plan though they are almost out of the playoffs race.
Probable MI playing 11
- Rohit Sharma
- Ishan Kishan
- Dewald Brevis
- Suryakumar Yadav
- Tilak Varma
- Kieron Pollard
- Fabian Allen
- Jaydev Unadkat
- Murugan Ashwin
- Tymal Mills
- Jasprit Bumrah
Highest Paid Player in IPL 2022
Mumbai Indians must utilize their four overseas players in the XI. It is stupid to go into a match with 4 number 11s with tail starting at 7. They must have won the game against Punjab Kings but lack of batsmen cost them the game. Rohit Sharma has been trying his best to give fast starts but with batting ending at #6, they need their captain to play a long innings which Rohit Sharma is not used to in the last several years in IPL.
