Australia has made two changes in the team for the third ODI against India. The hosts have dropped Nathan Lyon and Jason Behrendorff from the team and have added Adam Zampa and Billy Stanlake in the team.

Lyon and Jason Behrendorff left out

Nathan Lyon made a comeback in the national team through this ODI series but so far in two games he has failed to make an impact. He went wicket-less in both ODIs and more importantly failed to control the middle orders.

On the other hand, Jason Behrendorff bowled decently in the two ODIs. He picked two wickets in the first game and one wicket in the second ODI. However, he faced back soreness and hence has been rested to accommodate Billy Stanlake in the team.

Meanwhile, pace bowler Peter Siddle has been able to retain his place in the team despite below-par performances in the series so far.

There are no changes in the batting department. Shaun Marsh has looked in fine touch and Peter Handscomb has done well as well. Australia might be worried about the batting position of Glenn Maxwell and it will be interesting to see whether they push him up in the batting order.

Mitchell Marsh who is fully fit has also been overlooked as Marcus Stonis who is currently playing as an all-rounder has performed well to retain his spot.

Series leveled at 1-1

The three-match ODI series between Australia and India is leveled at 1-1 currently. The hosts won the first ODI courtesy of Jhye Richardson’s stunning bowling performance but India made a comeback in the second ODI.

Riding on Kohli’s century and Dhoni’s calm batting India won the second ODI and have leveled the series.

Australia squad for third ODI-

Aaron Finch, Alex Carey, Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Peter Siddle, Adam Zampa, Billy Stanlake.
