Lucknow Super Giants were clinical right from the word go. Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bat first on a dry wicket. The decision never paid dividends for SRH as they were puzzled by LSG’s spin trio of Krunal Pandya, Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi. The trio shared 8 wickets between them and SRH could only post a mere 121 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of 8 wickets. Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 3 for 18 from his quota of 4 overs and was adjudged Man of the Match.

Krunal scored a crucial 34 off 29 deliveries including 4 fours and a six. He came into bat at no 4 when LSG were 2 down for 45 runs. Krunal along with his skipper KL Rahul stitched 55 runs stand which helped LSG overcome the early hiccups. Krunal was the star of the evening for Lucknow Super Giants, and they are now proudly placed right at the top of the pile.
