Match no 43 of Tata IPL is done and dusted. The Ekana Stadium in Lucknow played host to a low scoring thriller, and it was the Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore who prevailed over the hosts Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs.
Who won Man of the Match in today’s IPL match?
Low scoring thrillers are always exciting and something similar is what we witnessed at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Match no 43 of Tata has been won by the home team Lucknow Super Giants and with this win LSG are back on the top of the points table.
Talking about how things panned out for LSG vs RCB match no 43, RCB won the toss and opted to bat first on a wicket that was tailor made for spinners. A slow track assisted the spinners and pacers who were consistently varying their pace. RCB could post only a mere 126 for the loss of 9 wickets. RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis was the top scorer with 44 runs from 40 balls and was adjudged the Man of the Match for his fighting knock.
In reply, LSG started off without their skipper KL Rahul who got injured in the first innings while fielding. LSG lost wickets at regular intervals and were 4 wickets down inside the powerplay for a mere 34 runs. LSG never looked in control and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, LSG were bundled out for 108 in 19.5 overs.
