In an important news update, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will not have the services of their premier left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan at the starting leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) season due to a shoulder injury. The Lucknow Super Giants will be locking horns with the Delhi Capitals in the third game of IPL 2023 season at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Under the captaincy of KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants qualified for the playoffs in their debut IPL season but ended up losing the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
LSG vs DC: Why is Mohsin Khan Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
It will be quite unfortunate for the Lucknow Super Giants that their talented left-arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan will not be part of the LSG playing XI in this LSG vs DC IPL 2023 match as he is currently struggling with a shoulder injury. Incidentally, after having an amazing season in IPL 2022, the left-arm pacer has not played any competitive cricket due to injury issues. While playing for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022, Mohsin picked up as many as 14 wickets from a total of 9 games at an economy of less than 6 that included a four-wicket haul as well. The LSG team management is still hopeful that the 24-year-old pacer can take part in IPL 2023 at some point of time.
On the other hand, the Lucknow Super Giants bought the experienced Jaydev Unadkat at a price of INR 50 Lakh during the IPL 2023 auction and he is also a left-arm pace bowler who has the ability to take wickets at regular intervals.
