The big news development coming from the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp is that their premier speedster Anrich Nortje will not be available for selection in their opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) season against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The Delhi Capitals witnessed quite mixed fortunes during their IPL 2022 campaign having managed to win 7 games out of their 14 league matches in the T20 competition.
LSG vs DC: Why is Anrich Nortje Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
The Delhi Capitals will miss the services of their premier overseas fast bowler Anrich Nortje for the crucial LSG vs DC IPL 2023 match on Saturday. Nortje is currently on national duty as he is part of the South Africa vs Netherlands ODI series and will only be available in IPL 2023 after 2 April, 2023. In his short IPL career so far, Anrich Nortje has picked up as many as 43 wickets from 30 matches at an impressive economy rate of 8.06. However, the Delhi Capitals have a whole lot of Indian pace bowlers like Chetan Sakariya, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed who can be part of the playing XI this year at the start of IPL 2023 season.
