LSG will definitely be hoping to come up with that extra bit of spark both with the bat and ball to cross the final barrier in the IPL 2024 season. The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have performed fairly well in both the last two editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where they ended up losing the Eliminator in both the cases.

In IPL 2023, the Lucknow Super Giants lost their skipper KL Rahul midway after which Krunal Pandya took over the reigns who also did an impressive job barring a few instances. Lucknow Super Giants had a lot of positives this year as the overseas duo of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran performed really well with the bat especially in crucial situations while leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the star performer with the ball taking wickets consistently. It was quite unfortunate that the Lucknow Super Giants failed to properly utilize the services of wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock and thus, they might release him before the IPL 2024 auction. However, despite a poor form, Deepak Hooda might retain his spot in the LSG squad but it will be difficult to accommodate him in the playing 11. It will also be interesting to see whether senior leg-spinner Amit Mishra decides to play one more IPL season or not.
