The New Zealand bowlers couldn’t do much to keep both the batters quiet and deny them singles them or doubles. This mindset caused the partnership to grow and increase the lead of the home team and putting pressure on the New Zealand team.

After a confidence boosting 3rd session of Day 4, India are looking a confident side to defend the target of 284 runs. The spinners like Ashwin and Axar Patel are likely to play an important role on a Day 5 pitch, which is expected to provide them a fine purchase.
