It was an entertaining 1st test match between the India and New Zealand at Kanpur. The both teams showed fine patience and came back strongly in subsequent sessions after failing to have an edge in the previous one. The 2nd Test match will be played from December 3 at Mumbai, and Virat Kohli will be joining the Playing 11 as well.

The Indian team were impressive with their performances on the fifth day of the test match. In the 1st session, The New Zealand batters were terrific with their resistance against the Indian bowlers. They played out the session well. While the 2nd session saw India making a fine comeback with the ball.

In the 3rd session, with the wicket of Kane Williamson, the visitors were under serious pressure. The batter Rachin Ravindra played quite well to save the test match, but the others could not stay the crease for longer durations and fell to the Indian spinners.
Ashwin and Jadeja deliver fine performances in IND vs NZ 1st Test Match
The duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were brilliant with their consistency in line lengths and maintained optimum pressure against the New Zealand batters. The duo bowled out the most overs in tandem during the 3rd session, and were impressive to take the wickets of tailenders.

The batters scored enough runs in both the innings of the test match that gave the bowlers an enough room to adopt a different approach to dismiss the batters. While Shreyas Iyer scripted history after becoming the first Indian to hit a century and half century in the same test match.
