Harbhajan Singh COVID Legends Cricket T20: In a big breaking news, former India star off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has tested positive for COVID-19 and he is now very much likely to miss the entire Legends League Cricket T20 tournament. After announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket recently, Harbhajan was scheduled to represent the India Maharajas team for the inaugural Legends Cricket T20 being played in Oman.

In a massive revelation, Harbhajan Singh mentioned on Twitter that he has tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. The former India cricketer is currently quarantining at home while taking all the necessary precautions. The ongoing Legends League Cricket T20 is scheduled to take place from 20 January to 29 January and thus, Harbhajan is unlikely to participate in the exciting T20 tournament.

Legends Cricket T20
The much-awaited Legends League Cricket T20 kickstarted with the opening encounter between the India Maharajas and the Asia Lions on Thursday at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman. The India Maharajas started off their campaign with a superb 6-wicket victory against Asia Lions in the first match of the T20 competition.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Asia Lions posted a challenging total of 175 for 7 in their quota of 20 overs. Upul Tharanga played a brilliant innings of 66 runs off 46 balls that included 7 fours and 2 sixes while skipper Misbah-ul-Haq also contributed with a vital 44 runs off 30 balls. On the other hand, India Maharajas found themselves in trouble upfront having been reduced to 34 for 3. However, explosive batsman Yusuf Pathan then smashed a blinder of a knock of 80 runs off only 40 deliveries that consisted of 9 fours and 5 sixes to help his team chase down the total with four balls to spare. India Maharajas stand-in captain Mohammad Kaif also remained unbeaten on 42 off 37 balls.

The second match of the tournament will be played between the World Giants and Asia Lions on 21 January, 2022 at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman.
