Last 2 IPL 2021 League Matches to be Played on the Same Time? Here’s the official update

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is about to reach its business end. The excitement is growing day by day and there’s still no surety about who will be the four teams to play the playoffs. While Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals are likely to seal the first two spots the other five times have to grind hard and gave their everything to cement their place in the playoffs.
The last two IPL league matches to be played concurrently
The last two IPL matches between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals were earlier scheduled to play at 3:30 and 7:30 PM IST at Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.

The BCCI today held the IPL Governing Council meeting and it is now learned that the final two league matches will be played concurrently and will kick start at 7:30 pm in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The BCCI took to their official Twitter account and confirmed the development
“In a first for the IPL, the last two league matches before the VIVO IPL 2021 Playoffs will be played concurrently. On the last day of the league stage (08.10.2021) of the ongoing season, instead of having one afternoon match and one evening match, two matches (SRH v MI and RCB v DC) will be played simultaneously at 7.30 PM IST (6.00 PM GST).” BCCI stated

BCCI announces tender of IPL Media Rights for 2023-2027 cycle
The Board of Control for Cricket in India also announced the tender of IPL media rights for the 2023-2027 cycle in the IPL Governing Council meeting but will release the rights immediately after the two new teams will be announced for the next season on 25th October.
“The IPL Media Rights tender for the cycle 2023-2027 will be released immediately after the appointment of two new IPL teams which is scheduled to be announced on 25th October 2021.” BCCI said.
