The Indian cricket team has remained a force to reckon with in home conditions but has fared poorly in overseas Tests. But former Windies cricketer Brian Lara feels that India can improve their away record and he has given some advice to the Indian team.
India need to understand very they are strong: Lara
Lara was in India for a golf event when he spoke with the media about India’s upcoming tour of Australia. He noted that India’s ‘away’ record is something they have to worry about. But he believes that if India breaks the game down into different pieces and understand where they are strong and need to be strong, they can work things out.
Australia will fight a bit against India: Lara
At the same time, the former Windies batsman thinks that it is going to be an interesting series. According to Lara, Australia is going to fight a bit as India is playing very good cricket.
Australia will be playing without two of their best players Steve Smith and David Warner while on the other hand India recently drubbed Windies in the two-match Test series.
Ball-tampering has been since long: Lara
The former Windies skipper was asked about ball-tampering to which he replied by saying that there might be recent occurrences, but ball-tampering has been there since long.

The left-hand batsman explained that if you go and check the history, there have been a lot of people who have been punished for different acts of tampering. The former left-hand batsman made it clear that ball tampering happens in the game and it looks bad if someone is caught, but he doesn’t believe that when anyone says it is something not pretty prevalent in the game.
