Lalit Yadav IPL debut: The beauty of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is that new faces continue to emerge and show their talent to the world. No stage is as big as IPL at the moment, at least across the domestic T20 cricket circuit. Rajasthan Royals handed a debut to Chetan Sakaria, who took to the IPL as a hot knife going through butter, in their first match against Punjab Kings. And now Delhi Capitals are set to present a new face to the IPL 2021 match against Rajasthan Royals.
RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to field first, not a surprising decision. But DC captain Rishabh Pant downplayed the importance of toss saying he doesn’t mind batting first.
Pant also revealed a change in DC Playing 11, as Lalit Yadav is set to make his debut for Delhi Capitals in the IPL. The 24-year-old right-handed batsman is a middle-order batsman and has replaced Amit Mishra in the DC playing 11.

Who is Lalit Yadav?
Lalit Yadav was bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 auction but the youngster failed to make an appearance last season. But that is set to change as he will be making his debut against RR.
If you are not familiar with Lalit Yadav, he made the biggest noise in the domestic circuit as a 14-year-old kid, when, in a 40-over game, he blitzed past double hundred. Due to his swashbuckling style, Lalit Yadav often draws comparison with none other than Yuvraj Singh.

Emulating Yuvraj on his debut may be a little bit too much to ask for from the DC youngster, but his record indicates that he has the talent to make his stay in DC playing 11 a permanent one.
