Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has named the toughest batsman to bowl at in the Indian nets. In a recent interview with cricket.com, Kuldeep Yadav has revealed that bowling to Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara is the toughest task for him while in the nets.
What did Kuldeep Yadav say?
The left-arm chinaman spinner from Uttar Pradesh was in conversation with cricket.com recently. When Kuldeep Yadav was asked about the most difficult batsman to bowl at in the Indian nets, the spinner picked the names of India’s vice-captain in the white-ball cricket Rohit Sharma and test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara.
“Toughest batsman in the nets is Cheteshwar Pujara I guess. He plays very well against any offspinner, especially in Test cricket. And in ODI format it is Rohit Sharma. Of course, there are plenty of youngsters as well. They aren’t afraid of going for the big shots. So everyone is good. But Pujara in Tests is really difficult to bowl to,”
Kuldeep Yadav told cricket.com.
In case you didn’t know –
Yadav made his international debut for India in 2017. Since then, the left-arm spinner has become a mainstay for India in all formats of the game. He has formed a celebrated partnership with Yuzvendra Chahal in the shorter formats of the game. The duo is also famous with the name of ‘Kul-Cha’ in the cricketing circle. While India still prefers Ravi Ashwin over any other spinner in test cricket, Kuldeep Yadav has made his case stronger in every opportunity he has got so far.
If not for the global pandemic coronavirus, Kuldeep Yadav would have been representing the Kolkata Knight Riders under the leadership of Dinesh Karthik in the IPL 2020 edition. However, the BCCI decided to postpone the mega-league in the wake of the extended lockdown.
