KL Rahul won’t let his fear overshadow his dreams

KL Rahul had a forgetful outing against South Africa when Indian team toured South Africa earlier this year. He was looking forward to having a better series in England. But he has been constantly struggling to find his form in the longer format.

He has just scored 30 runs in four innings and has seemed helpless in front of English pacers’ swing attack.

As India prep up to take on England in the next match in Nottingham, KL Rahul took to his Instagram account to express his determination in the pursuit of his dreams.

Cheteshwar Pujara made way for KL Rahul in the first Test in Edgbaston after the team management decided to snub Pujara and give Rahul a chance. However, he was unable to replicate his limited-overs form in the Tests and he could only score 17 runs in the two innings.

Sam Curran took his wicket in the first innings and he was dismissed by Ben Stokes in the next. In the second Test as well, Rahul was given a chance to play but he could only score 18 runs at Lord’s. KL Rahul has only been able to amass 35 runs in the first two tests at an average of 8.75.

Whether KL Rahul will get a chance to play in the next Test or not remains to be seen but the Indian batsman is hopeful of overcoming his fears for achieving his dreams.

India’s opening woes have troubled India so far with Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan anf KL Rahul struggling to find their form. KL Rahul had smashed a century against T20I against England but he has not been able to continue his winning momentum in the Test cricket.

India are currently lagging behind against England by 2-0 in the five-match Test series and India will be hopeful of getting back to the winning ways when they meet the three Lions in the next header.
