KL Rahul spends New Year Eve with rumoured girlfriend

The Indian cricketers celebrated their new year eve in different styles. However, one cricketer who is in the news regarding his new year celebrations is none other than the Indian opener KL Rahul. The newly crowned captain of Kings XI Punjab celebrated his new year in Thailand. The player was accompanied by the Bollywood star Athiya Shetty.

Spotted in Thailand
The duo was spotted in Thailand with their friends in Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Anushka Ranjan, Usaamah Siddique, and Aditya Seal. Various reports have suggested that the two are dating. The rumors first became common knowledge after the explosive Indian batsman shared his pictures of chilling with Athiya and her friends on social media.

Rahul shared a picture of the duo on 28th December, which caught the couple chilling inside a phone booth where Rahul was holding the receiver, and Athiya was standing beside him. The picture made the fans imagine if the duo is on vacation. The image had the famous dialogue from the iconic Bollywood movie ‘Hera Pheri’ “Hello Devi Prasad…?” as its caption. Suniel Shetty, the father of Athiya, starred in the film. The rumor of both the stars dating each other is becoming rife with the fans speculative of a serious relationship between them.

Yet to confirm relationship status
The social media post from KL Rahul got a lot of traction with most of his teammates, including Hardik Pandya and Yazuvendra Chahal, Suniel Shetty, and several fans following the trend of quoting famous dialogues from the movie. Neither of Athiya Shetty or KL Rahul has confirmed the speculations despite the ever-increasing rumors.
The paparazzi have spotted them several times in the city while having dinner. The most recent such incident came in Mumbai when Rahul was spending time with Athiya’s friends.
