WATCH: KL Rahul Displays Basketball Skills Amid Lockdown

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world to a halt as governing authorities endorse self isolation at homes. Though things might be tough for the masses as they remain indoors, most of the sports celebs are taking out the time to engage more with their fans on social media.

This time it was India’s wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul who’s posted a video of him shooting some hoops at his courtyard. The KXIP skipper displayed some serious basketball skills and has been doing his bit to keep himself busy at this difficult hour.

In recent time and age, KL Rahul has been one of the standout performers with the bat for the ‘Men in Blue’. With Ravichandran Ashwin making his move to the Delhi Capitals a few months ago, KL Rahul was handed the baton of leading KXIP this season.

It was quite obvious that the KXIP franchise would have been eager to watch their side perform under a new captain who’s been one of the main batters for Team India lately.

Uncertainty surrounds IPL 2020

However, the Indian Premier League (IPL) which was scheduled for March 29 and was later shifted to April 15 has been suspended indefinitely. As per speculations franchise owners and the Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) are looking for alternatives to conduct the tournament during the October window if things get better.

That being said the International Cricket Council (ICC) is in no mood to budge when it comes to postponing the ICC T20 World Cup which was also scheduled for October this year. But all of it seems pretty far- fetched ,as the primary objective is to battle out the pandemic before coming to a decision.
