KKR vs SRH: Why is Jason Roy Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, the Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana revealed that they are playing an unchanged KKR Playing 11 for this KKR vs SRH IPL 2023 match on Friday. This means that English opening batsman Jason Roy will be warming the bench. He came in the Kolkata Knight Riders squad as a replacement player for all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who pulled out from IPL 2023 due to personal reasons. Roy has already joined the Kolkata Knight Riders camp and was available for selection but the team management has decided to back Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz at the top.
“We’ll bowl first. We’ve been practicing here and there has been dew. Keeping in mind, we want to chase. Same XI for today,” said Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana during the toss.
