PBKS are currently slotted at the 7th position on the points table with 5 wins and 5 losses in the ongoing T20 tournament.

During the toss, it was mentioned that fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is once again not part of the PBKS playing XI for today’s KKR vs PBKS match. He is not even part of the substitute members list out of which one can be used as an Impact Player at any moment in the game. After joining the Punjab Kings camp for IPL 2023 late due to national duty, Rabada has played as many as 4 matches where he has picked up a total of 5 wickets at an expensive economy rate of close to 10. Thus, the PBKS team management have decided to play right-arm pacer Nathan Ellis ahead of Rabada in a few games as the former has a lot of variations in his armoury.
