Who won today’s IPL match?: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at MCA Stadium in Pune in the match 52nd of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.  It was game that was bossed by the KL Rahul-led side in every aspect. They put on a staggering display of both batting and bowling to defeat the opposition by 75 runs to make their case strong for the playoffs and go at the top of the table.

Asked to bat first, even though LSG lost skipper KL Rahul for diamond duck but half-century by Quinton de Kock and 41-run knock by Deepak Hooda kept made sure that momentum remained  towards their side. A finish by Marcus Stoinis (28), Ayush Badoni (15*) and Jason Holder (13) helped LSG post a total of 176 runs on the board.

Chasing the target, KKR were in a spot of bother as they lost 4 wickets for just 25 runs. Andre Russell gave his side a real chance with his knock of 45 runs. But it didn’t matter as LSG kept taking wickets at regular intervals. In the end LSG took a team hat-trick in the 15th over to bundle out the opposition for just 101 runs and win the match by 75 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Avesh Khan was awarded the Player of the Match in today’s IPL 2022 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The right-arm pacer tested KKR batsmen with his line and lengths and returned with the figures of 3/16. He removed the likes of Nitish Rana, Andre Russell and Anukul Roy and helped his side seal the top spot on the points table.
