Andre Russell has hammered 15 sixes in IPL 2019 so far. He strikes at 243.28 in this season but all these numbers and reputation came crashing down as Kagiso Rabada knocked out his middle stump in the super over and delivered Delhi Capitals a famous win after the game ended in a tie.
Defending ten runs, Rabada conceded a boundary on the first ball as Russell ingeniously flicked a near-perfect yorker. On the second ball he nailed his yorker and on the third, uprooted Russell’s middle stump with a stunner missile and ended the game.

Shaw steals the show before Rabada magic
A very well deserved Man of the Match award for young @PrithviShaw for his stupendous knock of 99 runs.#VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/Akr1WyaGmu

To begin with, Delhi Capitals shouldn’t have taken the match to the super over especially after Prithvi Shaw produced his best IPL innings- 99 off 55 balls and Shreyas Iyer scoring 43 off 32 balls.
These efforts brought Delhi needing 16 off 14 balls but Rishabh Pant was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav and in the next over the temptation of hundred brought Shaw’s downfall.
Kuldeep steps ups, defend six in final over
A mighty big comeback from @imkuldeep18 after conceding 33 runs in his first 2 overs and then just 8 runs in his next two overs. ?#DCvKKR #VIVOIPL #KKRHaiTaiyaar pic.twitter.com/qb7fj9Ssf7

Suddenly Delhi was in a cauldron and failed to decipher Kuldeep Yadav’s code. The wrist-spinner conceded just five runs when six were needed of the last over and pushed the game to the death over where Rabada’s perfect yorkers triumphed Russell’s mad genius.

Russell to the fore, once again!
Earlier in the evening, Andre Russell once again highlighted KKR’s batting performance. His explosion in the death overs continued as he hammered 62 runs off 28 balls to take KKR to 185.

Kolkata had a poor start as Chris Lynn misfired once again while Nikhil Naik who was asked to open the innings consumed 16 balls for his seven runs. KKR’s batting hero so far Nitish Rana too had a off day and Uthappa was negated by Piyush Chawla.
