CSK have always got their strategies right and today they unleashed the leg-spin of Imran Tahir who tied up Kolkata and their policy of offering a long rope for players repaid as Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja stepped up to chase the target of 162 runs.

Chris Lynn continued his good form and started aggressively against CSK pacers. But CSK spinners took wickets from the other end to inflict damage.
Santner removed Narine in the fifth over and Imran Tahir sent back Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa in the span of three balls. But Lynn kept on finding boundaries from the other end and scored 81 runs off 51 balls.
KKR minus Russell, a flop show in death overs
But Tahir brought curtains on the Lynn show in the 15th over to push KKR back. Kolkata were desperately looking for Russell to bail them out but Tahir struck again and outfoxed Russell for just ten runs.
One over later Shardul Thakur dismissed Dinesh Karthik and KKR’s innings imploded. They could only add 28 runs off their last five overs and managed to get just 161 runs and this is where CSK won the game.
