KKR Player Covid Positive: Kolkata Knight Riders player Tim Seifert has recently been tested Corona positive in his pre-departure tests. As a result of his condition, Seifert will have to wait a little longer before traveling home on the charter flight, as the remaining IPL-based New Zealand players, commentators and support staff get set to leave. The New Zealand international is currently in isolation in Ahmadabad.
Tim Seifert COVID Positive
Tim Seifert is now the third player from KKR’s camp to be tested COVID-19 positive. Prior to him, it was Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier who also got the virus.
According to the statement given by New Zealand Cricket, Tim Seifert couldn’t clear both his pre-departure RT-PCR tests and now has “moderate symptoms”.
“Once Seifert has undergone treatment and the statutory period of isolation and has tested negative for COVID-19, he will be transferred back to New Zealand where he will undergo the mandatory 14-day period of managed isolation,” the NZC statement further added.
The New Zealand Chief Executive, David White also spoke about Siefert, and the support that they’ve been giving him lately.
