Kedar Jadhav’s reaction after being dropped from Indian team

Indian middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav was surprised with the fact that he was left out from the Indian ODI squad. Jadhav admitted that he doesn’t know why he has been dropped from the team and said that he has to check the reasons for his omission.
Selectors overlook Jadhav for the remaining three ODIs against Windies
Kedar Jadhav’s omission was one of the highlights of the Indian squad announced by BCCI for the remaining three ODIs against Windies. The middle-order batsman was overlooked for the first two ODIs as he was injured during that time but currently, he is playing in the Deodhar Trophy which means he is fully fit and yet the selectors ignored him.
When asked about this in the press conference after the Deodhar Trophy match, Jadhav admitted that he doesn’t know about the selection and infact he told the reporter that he is the first one to break the news to him and he has to obviously see why he is not picked in the team.

Meanwhile, MK Prasad, the chairman of selectors has revealed that they did not pick Kedar because of his history of fitness. He explained that there have been occasions earlier when he has come back fit and then broke down, a case in point being the Asia Cup last month.
Jadhav explains his rehab at NCA
After injuring his hamstring once again in the Asia cup, the Indian middle-order batsman spent some time at the National Cricket Academy to regain fitness. While speaking about his rehab, the right-hand batsman said that rehab was good. He informed that he passed all the tests and came here match fit.

He made it clear that till the time you don’t meet all the fitness criteria, the NCA people will not clear you. According to Jadhav, as long as they clear you, you should not be having doubts on the field. And that is why he doesn’t hold himself back even when it comes to diving on the field.
