KAR vs PES: Mohammad Amir Out of Pakistan Super League 2022? Here’s official update

KAR vs PES: In an important news development, Karachi Kings premier fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been ruled out for the remainder of Pakistan Super League T20 2022 with a back injury. The Karachi Kings will also miss the services of right-arm pacer Mohammad Ilyas who is also ruled out of PSL 2022 due to shoulder injury. In the 11th match of Pakistan Super League T20, Karachi Kings will be taking on Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium in Karachi on 4 February, 2022.
KAR vs PES: Mohammad Amir Out of Pakistan Super League 2022?
Mohammad Amir was initially nursing a side strain ahead of the start of Pakistan Super League 2022, however, the left-arm speedster has now aggravated his back injury during the rehabilitation process. He was yet to feature in a single game of this PSL season and the Karachi Kings have confirmed that Amir will not be available for the entire tournament. On the other hand, Mohammad Ilyas did feature in the Karachi Kings playing 11 in all of the three games so far before pulling off an injury in the last match. Ilyas has been advised rest for the next six weeks with a severe shoulder injury due to which he will also have to miss the remainder of Pakistan Super League T20 2022.

“Amir has always been a King, and the team wishes him the best in recovering to full fitness as he returns to his family soon,” said a statement released by Karachi Kings.
“MRIs have confirmed the worst and he has been advised rest for the next six weeks and shall be leaving for his home in Peshawar tomorrow evening,” the Kings statement read about Mohammad Ilyas.

Pakistan Super League T20
Things have not started well for the Karachi Kings in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League as they have ended up losing all of their three games so far against Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans. They are languishing at the bottom of the points table and desperately need to find ways to make a strong comeback in order to pick up their opening win of the tournament. Another news is that England pacer Chris Jordan has arrived in Pakistan and is likely to feature in the playing 11 for the game against Peshawar Zalmi on Friday.
