Former India skipper Kapil Dev is full of praise for Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He feels Bumrah is one of the leading bowlers in the world and has also admitted that the young pacer has proved him wrong.
Bumrah proved me wrong: Kapil
The former India all-rounder was speaking with an English newspaper when he appreciated the Indian pacer.
Kapil stated that Bumrah has proved him wrong. He revealed that when he saw him the first time he had thought whether the pace bowler could last long with this kind of action, but he has.

Kapil said that he really compliments the right-arm pacer for his superlative show in Australia and he feels his mindset must be very strong.
Bumrah is an unique bowler: Kapil
The world cup winning Indian captain thinks Bumrah is fabulous. He explained that with such a short run-up, if he can generate 140-plus speeds consistently, you have to respect him. He has a special shoulder.

Kapil feels these types of bowlers are unique. Bumrah is good with both the new and old ball. He has a very good bouncer which can surprise the opposition.
The former India cricketer added that Bumrah is very accurate and knows where he is bowling. He applies his mind well. And according to Kapil when this put together it makes him one of the leading bowlers in the world today.

At the same time Kapil refused to accept the claim that India is too dependent on Bumrah. He noted that when you play in India, don’t you depend on Ravichandran Ashwin? Even Ravindra Jadeja is someone on whom the team depends a lot at home.
So he feels if someone starts doing well for the team, the team starts depending on that cricketer.
