Australian batsman Steve Smith is one of the most-weirdest batsmen to have ever played the game. Even though he is a master of the game, some of the mannerisms and antics that he shows during his batting can be irritating for the opposition team and even for the fans watching on TV. During the third test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he showed one of his usual antics to Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah. And Bumrah being the guy that he is, responded to it by mimicking Smith in the same way.
Bumrah does a Steve Smith
After failing terribly in the first two Test matches, Aussie batsman Steve Smith came into the crease for the third Test with a set plan. He began attacking the Indian bowlers from ball one and stamped his authority on the crease quite early. As he began getting into his groove, he started using his antics. But this time, the man who was at the receiving end was Jasprit Bumrah. He is not someone who’ll let the batsman have the last laugh. Immediately after Smith showed some weird action, Bumrah mimicked him in the same fashion. It was hilarious to watch.
The video of the incident is given below:

This is not the first time an Indian bowler has mimicked Steve Smith. In one of the previous tours, veteran pacer Ishant Sharma had also mimicked Steve Smith badly.

Australia on top on Day one
Day one of the third Test at SCG was all about Australia. After losing star opener David Warner quite early, debutant Will Pucovski and ever so reliable Marnus Labuschagne took Aussies to a comfortable total. Both crossed the half-century mark. For India Mohammad Siraj and Navdeep Saini took one wicket each, but that wasn’t enough to counter the incredible batting from the Aussies. Steve Smith and Labuschagne are right now at the crease, as the play stopped on Day one.
