He admitted that in the past he scored 80s and 90s and could not score a century and he felt bad at those times. But Jadeja said that luckily today, on his home ground he scored a hundred.
Jadeja displayed immense patience during his innings as he scored a big chunk of his runs while batting with the tail-enders. This was a contrast to his naturally aggressive batting style.

He revealed that he was just talking to himself that he doesn’t want to play a loose shot, he doesn’t want to play a wrong shot and get out. The Indian cricketer said that he was talking to Umesh and Shami as well that he needs to play and score that hundred.
