Irfan Pathan Wife Safa Baig: Irfan Pathan is getting a lot of flak for a social media post where the former Indian cricketer blurred the picture of his wife, Safa Baig. Pathan tied the knot with Safa Baig, a former model in the Gulf nations, on February 4, 2016, but has never revealed her face in the family pictures he posts on social media every now and then.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Pathan shared a beautiful picture with his wife and son on his Instagram account. In the posts, we can see Pathan carrying his son on his shoulders, and though Baig is beside him, the former all-rounder blurred the face of his wife.
Pathan captioned the post: “Together is our favourite place to be!”

But the netizens found a reason to troll Pathan and asked the cricketer the reason for hiding his wife’s face.

One user even labelled Pathan as a “hypocrite”, for regularly giving his views on the progressive society while he himself can’t show his wife’s full face.
However, Pathan took to Twitter and responded to all the criticism, and clarified that his wife posted the picture from his son’s account and chose to blur the face on her own.
“This picture is posted by my queen from my son’s account. We are getting lot of hate. Let me post this here as well. She blurred this pic by her choice. And Yes, I’m her mate not her master”.

Irfan Pathan career
Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in January 2020. He played 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is for India. The highlight of his career was the final of the inaugural T20I World Cup against Pakistan in 2007, where he won the man-of-the-match award for his crucial 3-wicket spell. But there’s no denying that Pathan could never touch the height he was expected to reach.
However, the 36-year-old continues to remain connected with the sport. He was part of the IPL 2021 commentary panel and often serves as a cricket expert on many shows related to the sport.
