Irfan Pathan and Yuvraj Singh praises each other
Pathan’s former India teammate and dear friend Yuvraj Singh commented on that post questioning Pathan whether he was pointing out that India do not have a quality all-rounder.
“Are you saying we don’t have an all-rounder who’s a match winner?” he tweeted in response.
To which, Pathan had another cheeky reply ready, which said:
“Bro Yuvraj Singh has officially retired…”
Yuvraj Singh who was the man of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup is one of the biggest match-winner India has ever produced. He has scored over 8500 runs and has taken over 100 wickets in ODI’s alone.
Yuvraj who has seen Pathan’s all-rounder capabilities from close quarters during his playing days opined that the former India player from Baroda was a good enough all-rounder as well.
“I knew that was coming! Waise aap bhi kuch kam nahi they! (You weren’t any less).”
Pathan, who has more than 300 international wickets has played 120 ODIs and 29 Tests for India. He started out as a left-arm fast bowler and later developed his batting skills scoring more than 1000 runs in both formats.
