PBKS IPL 2022 Playoffs: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is closing on its league stages and the race for the playoffs qualification is getting much more exciting. It has not been the ideal season for the top teams in the history of the tournament as the trio of Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders did not had the best of forms and got eliminated quite early. However, both the new teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have impressed everyone with their remarkable performances.

After Royal Challengers Bangalore’s amazing victory over Gujarat Titans, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) have officially been knocked out of the Indian Premier League 2022 playoffs race. Punjab Kings are currently slotted at the seventh position on the points table having witnessed as many as 6 wins and 7 losses with a negative Net Run Rate of (-0.043). The Mayank Agarwal-led team will be facing the Sunrisers Hyderabad during the last league match of IPL 2022 on 22 May, 2022 (Sunday) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The result of this game will have no effect on the IPL 2022 playoffs qualification scenarios. The trio of Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals have already qualified for the knockouts while one of Royal Challengers Bangalore or Delhi Capitals are still in the race for fourth spot.
