Quinton de Kock was no exception as he was the highest scorer in an innings of IPL 2022. De Kock scored unbeaten in the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they ran out winners by just two runs. The match was also decisive as KKR missed out on the IPL playoffs with that defeat.
The clash saw De Kock score unbeaten 140 runs in just 70 deliveries as he scored at a Strike Rate of 200. De Kock’s innings consisted of 10 fours and 10 sixes as he yielded 100 runs in boundaries. De Kock along with KL Rahul put together an opening stand of 210 runs, which was the highest partnership of the IPL 2022.
The 21–run stand was also the highest partnership for an opening wicket at the time of writing and the third highest overall for any wicket. Jos Buttler sits next in the standings with a score of 116 runs against Delhi Capitals on 22 April 2022. This was Buttler’s third ton of the season as he helped Rajasthan Royals (RR) score 222/2 and eventually lead his team to a 16-run win.
Buttler interestingly features three times on the list, scoring 106* and 100 to be part of top 10. Like Buttler, KL Rahul also features multiple times on the list with him scoring unbeaten 103 on two occasions. The list also contains Rajat Patidar, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill, with the latter two players being the only to have not scored hundreds.
